EVCV Limited (trading as "TardiGeddon"), referred to throughout this document as "the Company", "we", "us", or "our".

Any reference in this document to "the Company" refers to EVCV Limited and, where the context requires, its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, contractors, and agents. Any reference to "you" or "your" refers to the individual or entity accessing or using the Website or Services.

Introduction

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, and how TardiGeddon uses them. The short version: we do not use advertising trackers, and our visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) use no cookies and store nothing on your device. The game uses your browser's local storage to remember the settings you choose, and, only if you sign in to an account, a cookie that keeps you signed in. All of this is strictly necessary for features you ask for, so it does not need a consent banner.

Section 1 — What Are Cookies

1.0 Definition

1.0.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, tracking scripts, and browser storage such as "local storage" and "session storage". In this Policy we refer to all of these as "cookies and similar technologies".

1.1 First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

1.1.1 "First-party" technologies are set by the website you are visiting. "Third-party" technologies are set by other domains, typically advertising and analytics companies. TardiGeddon uses no third-party cookies or trackers. Our sign-in cookies are set by our own game server (server.tardigeddon.com), which is part of the Services.

Section 2 — Categories We Use

2.0 Strictly Necessary Storage

2.0.1 TardiGeddon uses cookies and browser storage on your device only to provide features you ask for: remembering your teams and settings, letting you rejoin an online match after a dropped connection, and, if you sign in, keeping you signed in to your account. This storage is strictly necessary to provide those features.

2.1 Performance, Analytics, Targeting and Advertising

2.1.1 We do not use performance, analytics, targeting, or advertising cookies or similar technologies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not set cookies or use your browser's storage (see our Privacy Policy, Section 2.4), so there is nothing for it in the table below.

3.0.1 This table will be kept up to date if the storage the game uses changes.

Section 4 — Third-Party Cookies and Partners

4.0 Third-Party Providers

4.0.1 We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, social media plug-ins, or videos that set cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security measures (for example, to protect the Website from attacks), as described in its own privacy policy.

4.0.2 When you buy something, you leave the game for Stripe's payment page (checkout.stripe.com), and if you sign in with Google or Apple, you visit their sign-in page. Those pages are run by Stripe, Google or Apple, which may set their own cookies, for example to prevent fraud, as described in their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control those cookies.

Section 5 — Managing Your Preferences

5.0 No Consent Banner

5.0.1 Because we only use strictly necessary storage, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and add a way to change your choice at any time.

5.1 Browser and Device Controls

5.1.1 You can delete the information the game stores by clearing your browser's site data for tardigeddon.com (and, to remove sign-in cookies, for server.tardigeddon.com). In our Android app, the same information is kept in the app's own storage on your device: clear the app's storage in your phone's settings, or uninstall the app, to delete it. Signing out also removes the sign-in cookie. Instructions can be found in your browser's settings or "Help" menu.

5.1.2 If you block or clear this storage, the game will still work, but it will forget your teams and settings, and you will need to sign in again. If you block cookies from server.tardigeddon.com, you will not be able to sign in.

5.2 Do Not Track Signals

5.2.1 Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. As we do not track you, there is nothing for this signal to switch off. If you would rather not be counted in our visit statistics at all, browser privacy settings or extensions that block cloudflareinsights.com will stop it; the game works the same either way.

Section 6 — Legal Basis

6.0 UK PECR and GDPR

6.0.1 Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (as amended) ("PECR"), storing information on your device that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested does not require consent. This includes the sign-in cookies, which are only set when you choose to sign in. Our use of this storage is based on our legitimate interest in providing a working game that remembers your choices, and on providing the Services you request.

Section 7 — General Legal Provisions

7.0 Entire Agreement

7.0.1 This document, together with any other policies referenced within it, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company relating to its subject matter, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral, relating to that subject matter.

7.1 Severability

7.1.1 If any provision of this document is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful, and enforceable.

7.1.2 If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision will be deemed deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.

7.2 Waiver

7.2.1 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right, power, or remedy under this document shall operate as a waiver of that right, power, or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any other or further exercise.

7.2.2 Any waiver of any provision of this document will only be effective if given in writing by an authorised representative of the Company.

7.3 Assignment

7.3.1 You may not assign, transfer, or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under this document without the prior written consent of the Company.

7.3.2 The Company may assign, transfer, or sub-contract any of its rights or obligations under this document at any time, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, provided such assignment does not materially diminish the rights you have been granted.

7.4 Force Majeure

7.4.1 The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this document where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, government action, pandemic, power or telecommunications failure, or failure of third-party suppliers or hosting providers.

7.5 No Third-Party Rights

7.5.1 Except as expressly stated, this document does not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have any right to enforce any of its provisions.

7.6 Relationship of the Parties

7.6.1 Nothing in this document shall be construed as creating a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and the Company.

7.7 Notices

7.7.1 Any notice required to be given under this document shall be in writing and shall be delivered by email to the relevant address specified in the Company Details section above, and shall be deemed received 24 hours after being sent, provided no delivery failure notification is received. We may give notices to you by publishing them on the Website or in the game, or, if you have an account, by email to the address on your account.

7.8 Language and Translation

7.8.1 This document is drafted in English. Any translated versions are provided for convenience only, and in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.

7.9 Survival

7.9.1 Provisions of this document which by their nature are intended to survive termination or expiry — including but not limited to provisions relating to intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, and governing law — shall survive any termination or expiry of your relationship with the Company.

7.10 Interpretation

7.10.1 Headings in this document are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

7.10.2 Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa. References to "including" or "such as" are illustrative and shall not limit the generality of the preceding words.

Section 8 — Amendments to This Document

8.0 Our Right to Update

8.0.1 The Company may revise and update this document at any time, at its sole discretion, to reflect changes in our practices, the Services (for example, when player accounts or cosmetic purchases are introduced), or applicable law.

8.0.2 The "Last Modified" date at the top of this document will be updated whenever changes are made. Where changes are material, we will use reasonable endeavours to provide additional notice, such as a prominent notice on the Website or in the game, before the change takes effect.

8.1 Your Continued Use

8.1.1 Your continued access to or use of the Website or Services after any revisions to this document take effect constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, the revised document.

8.1.2 If you do not agree to the revised document, you must stop using the Website and Services.
