Introduction
We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy TardiGeddon. This statement explains our current accessibility position, the measures we take, and, importantly, the fact that the Website and game are presently in active BETA development.
Section 1 — Our Commitment to Accessibility
1.0 Accessibility Goals
1.0.1 The Company is committed to making the Website and game accessible to people of all abilities, including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. For the Website, we aim to conform, on a best-efforts and ongoing basis, to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to comply with our obligations, where applicable, under the Equality Act 2010.
1.0.2 We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time compliance exercise, and we are committed to continuous improvement over time.
1.1 Beta Status of the Website
1.1.1 The Website and the game are currently operating in BETA. This means their features, layout, and content are under continuous, active development, review, and revision, and have not yet undergone a complete, formal accessibility audit or certification against WCAG 2.1 AA or any other accessibility standard.
1.1.2 As the Website and game are in BETA, some pages, features, interactive elements, or third-party content may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA or other applicable accessibility standards. Known and unknown accessibility barriers may exist as a result of the current stage of development.
1.1.3 We are actively working to identify, prioritise, and remediate accessibility issues as an ongoing part of our development process, and this Accessibility Statement will be updated as accessibility improves.
1.1.4 By using the Website and game during this BETA period, you acknowledge and accept that: (a) accessibility conformance is a work in progress; (b) the Company's failure to meet a particular accessibility standard, guideline, or success criterion at this stage does not constitute a waiver of, or admission regarding, the Company's accessibility commitments; and (c) the Company shall not be liable for any accessibility gap, barrier, or non-conformance identified or arising during the BETA period, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
1.1.5 The BETA designation does not diminish our commitment to accessibility improvement, nor does it exempt us from making reasonable adjustments where required by applicable disability discrimination law; rather, it reflects the current, evolving state of a Website and game under active development.
Section 2 — Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
2.0 Ongoing Efforts
2.0.1 The Website respects your device's "reduce motion" setting: smooth scrolling and moving animations are switched off when it is on.
2.0.2 The game can be played with a keyboard, a mouse, or touch controls, and turn-based play means there is no need for fast reactions: each turn has a timer, and game styles with longer turn times can be chosen in the menu.
2.0.3 Teams are identified by name as well as by colour, and speech-bubble reactions in the game are shown as text. The game's Settings have an Accessibility section with: colour-blind friendly team colours (a palette designed to be told apart with any common colour blindness), with a symbol for each team beside its name and a pattern on its health bar; a high contrast mode (black-on-white menus, white-on-black text over the game, bigger name tags); and calmer effects (no lightning flashes or menu animations), which is switched on automatically if your device asks for reduced motion. Every control shows a clear focus ring when used with a keyboard, and text size can be changed in Settings. Sound captions show short words on screen for the game's sound effects. Tap to fire lets you charge and fire a shot with two taps instead of holding a button, and an optional shot-path guide shows where a shot will land.
2.0.4 Including accessibility considerations at the design and development stage of new features, so far as reasonably practicable given the BETA status, and conducting periodic internal reviews using automated testing tools and manual review.
2.0.5 Maintaining an accessible channel for players to report accessibility barriers, as set out in Section 3, and prioritising fixes by severity of impact.
Section 3 — Feedback and Reporting Issues
3.0 How to Contact Us
3.0.1 We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of TardiGeddon. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please contact us at [email protected], including: (a) the page or part of the game where the issue occurred; (b) a description of the issue you encountered; (c) the assistive technology, device, or browser you were using, if relevant; and (d) your contact details, if you would like a response.
3.0.2 We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5 business days, and to provide an update on our assessment and, where reasonably practicable, a timeline for a fix.
3.1 Alternative Access
3.1.1 If you are unable to access particular content on the Website due to an accessibility barrier, please contact us using the details above, and we will use reasonable endeavours to provide the information you need through an alternative means.
Section 4 — Known Limitations
4.0 Current Limitations
4.0.1 As the Website and game are in active BETA development, known limitations may exist from time to time. These currently include:
- The game is drawn on a canvas, so the playing field (the landscape, tardigrades, and weapons) is not available to screen readers. The menus are standard web pages.
- The game has explosions and camera movement. The calmer effects setting removes the flashes from storms and menu animations, but explosions still move and flash briefly.
- Music is not captioned (sound effects can be, with Sound captions in Settings → Accessibility).
4.0.2 We will update this list as issues are identified and resolved.
Section 5 — Review
5.0 Ongoing Review
5.0.1 This Accessibility Statement will be reviewed and updated at least every six months, or sooner where material accessibility changes are made, and in particular as the Website and game progress beyond BETA status.
5.1 Formal Complaints
5.1.1 If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, and you are in the UK, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Section 6 — General Legal Provisions
6.0 Entire Agreement

6.1.2 If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision will be deemed deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.
6.2 Waiver
6.2.1 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right, power, or remedy under this document shall operate as a waiver of that right, power, or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any other or further exercise.
6.2.2 Any waiver of any provision of this document will only be effective if given in writing by an authorised representative of the Company.
6.3 Assignment
6.3.1 You may not assign, transfer, or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under this document without the prior written consent of the Company.
6.3.2 The Company may assign, transfer, or sub-contract any of its rights or obligations under this document at any time, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, provided such assignment does not materially diminish the rights you have been granted.
6.4 Force Majeure
6.4.1 The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this document where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, government action, pandemic, power or telecommunications failure, or failure of third-party suppliers or hosting providers.
6.5 No Third-Party Rights
6.5.1 Except as expressly stated, this document does not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have any right to enforce any of its provisions.

As the Services do not currently use accounts, we may give notices to you by publishing them on the Website.
6.8 Language and Translation
6.8.1 This document is drafted in English. Any translated versions are provided for convenience only, and in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
6.9 Survival
6.9.1 Provisions of this document which by their nature are intended to survive termination or expiry — including but not limited to provisions relating to intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, and governing law — shall survive any termination or expiry of your relationship with the Company.

6.10.1 Headings in this document are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
6.10.2 Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa. References to "including" or "such as" are illustrative and shall not limit the generality of the preceding words.
